New Jersey to outlaw bikini waxing…

March 17, 2009

Ed Morrissey freaking out!

People pay for a lot of services and goods I’d choose not to buy, including this, but that doesn’t mean it should be banned. What possible state interest could be found in banning hair removal and the voluntary agreement for compensation for it?

Oh, okay, so Ed’s not freaking out. He is, in fact, a little annoyed that we’re talking about this at all.

Which is just fine for the rest of us, because we have absolutely no interest in knowing how much traffic the phrase “Ed Morrissey bikini” would produce.

Even if the picture is a fake.

Awesome blog entry! NJ already banned it and we are fighting back. We had contacted the ASSP, Association for Spa and Salon Professionals and they were the ones who presented the position paper for the NJ Board to include this service and the NJ Board already met and said NO. So the state wants to loose money from all these salons, resorts and what about Atlantice City? We are now sending letters to the AG’s office so Mr. Robert Gilson can investigate this before it is signed off by Corzine.
You can get the form on our website:
