Fausta’s getting a lot of spam from stoners
One thing about having a large(ish) number of blog visitors: it attracts a large number of spam comments.
Comments spam comes in waves. There are the sex spammers (including the Eskimo sex people, and no, I didn’t check them out), the medication spammers (Viagra, tranquilizers, painkillers, anti-depressants), the dating sites, and the get-rich-quick spammers. You get them in bunches.
Today’s wave of spammers? Smoke-a-joint spammers!
What the hey?
Geez, Fausta, the language.
I feel a little guilty for linking to this, because Fausta does a lot of good work (you can’t really find round-ups of South and Central American news anywhere else) that I don’t link to.
But. To leave a spam comment, one has to visit the site. A site visitor means a hit. And as a wise, wise man was once rumored to say: “hits is hits, beyotches.”
I should probably say something here about marijuana decriminalization, medical marijuana, Cheech and Chong, the White House’s online town hall that got lots and lots of questions about pot legalization, and the Richard Bong State Recreation Area (Kenosha, WI).
Now…let the hits roll in!
(Get it? “Roll?” “Hits?” Snicker. Snicker.)
