Celebrities photographed…without makeup!

April 18, 2009

And without photoshopping, too:

The April issue of French Elle features eight female European celebrities–including Eva Herzigova, Monica Bellucci, Sophie Marceau, and Charlotte Rampling–all without makeup and, perhaps even more revealing, all entirely without Photoshopping or retouching of any kind.

Yay! I hate photoshopped pictures. Well, mostly. Some of them, you can really tell they’ve been photoshopped. Some you can’t tell, but you still know that they are.

The article linked above has pics of three sample covers. Here’s one, with Monica Bellucci:

And here’s Eva Herzigova:

Geez, did they try to get an “I just ate a small child” look on her face?

Keep in mind that, even without makeup and photoshopping, they still spent (probably) several hours in a professional studio under professional lights with professional photographers using professional-level cameras to get these shots. Let me follow them around for a day with my 8-year-old digital camera and then let’s see what we get.

Anyway, let’s compare. Monica Bellucci, in shots I’m relatively sure are ‘shopped:

Click on them for bigger versions. Here’s one I think isn’t ‘shopped:

And now for Eva. ‘Shopped:

Your assignment, dear readers, is to spend as long as is necessary examining these photos at length, and deciding for yourselves which you like better – ‘shopped or un’shopped. Feel free to do your own google searches, if necessary.

But honestly, these are women who need neither makeup nor photoshopping.

Note: there was a third cover, featuring Sophie Marceau. I didn’t include her in this post because I thought my browser might not be able to handle all that at once.

I think you may enjoy Rule #5 a little bit more than the other “Rules.” Not that I’m complaining – I’m just sayin’ is all. Keep up the good work.

Sorry…but Monica Bellucci would still look good if she was wrapped in razer wire with a burlap bag for a hat…truly the most beautiful woman in the world.
