Cantor, Obama let sparks fly
The setup:
House Republican Whip Eric Cantor returned from spring break determined to shed the “Dr. No” tag Democrats have hung around his neck — only to find himself in a face-to-face argument with the president over who started this year’s rift with the House GOP.
The plot thickens:
But headed for a meeting with the president at the White House Thursday, Cantor and other House Republican leaders couldn’t resist picking at the scab…
That’s what started the face-to-face bickering with the president.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch:
The brief exchange was friendly and respectful, both sides said afterward.
This is why people don’t pay attention to politics. Even the really good fights are boring.
