Except we can’t call it Swine Flu anymore, because that’s offensive to Jews and Muslims.
Plus it’s bad for the pork industry. As in pigs – not Congressional pork. No amount of bad publicity seems to cause any shame there.
We can’t call it Mexican Flu, either, because that’s insulting to Mexicans. Mark Steyn suggests “undocumented flu,” but that would only be on this side of the border, I think.
Much more discussion on this important issue at Protein Wisdom, where Manbirdpig Flu seems to be the consensus. After bad jokes involving the name “thor,” anyway (see the comments at the link).
The Trog Flu has yet to be considered, but that’s okay by me. We’ve got a bad enough image as it is.

I think it is officially called ‘Hone None.’ They abbreviate it H1N1.
