No bias in these headlines. None whatsoever.
Here’s the headline in the LA Times:
California voters exercise their power — and that’s the problem
And check this lede in the New York Times:
A smattering of California voters on Tuesday soundly rejected five ballot measures designed to keep the state solvent through the rest of the year.
Those dang smatterings, not caring if California is solvent or not.
Memeorandum says the headline there was: “Calif. Voters Reject Measures to Keep State Solvent,” but the headline at the link is “Calif. Voters Reject Budget Measures.” I wonder if they changed it?
Anyway, why not “California voters reject higher taxes, incompetent government?”
UPDATE – Michelle Malkin notes similar reaction at the Sacramento Bee.
