Where’d that “s” come from?

I’ve been calling him “Fisherville Mike” all this time. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone…nope. Both The Other McCain and The Other Smith are doing it. So’s Carol (although she at least spells it right in her blogroll). And Pundette…oh, no, wait, Pundette’s got it spelled right.

But just today I notice that it’s not “Fisherville Mike:” it’s “Fishersville Mike.” Fishers. With an s.

But all this time, he never corrected me. Which begs the question: did he even notice? And if not, should I even give a crap?

Or…has that “s” been there the whole time? Or did he just now put it there to make me feel bad about misspelling his name? And if so…touche.
