Let’s talk about pomposity just a little bit, shall we?

I find it funny that the same guy who wrote this:

…a bit after 8 p.m., the sun will set. The civilized thing to do at this juncture would be to go home, kick back with a little John Locke, and pass out fast.

Also wrote this:

…the professional fireworks display is an exercise in pomposity, aggression, triumphalism, and hubris.

I’m kinda hoping it was meant as lighthearted argumentation. You know, pissing all over something just for fun (a.k.a. Rule #4, except without a specific target). Hey, we all do it.

On the other hand, it’s always nice to find a real life example of pure, unadulterated pomposity like this.
