TrogloPundit passes 50,000 hits
Sometime Sunday, the 50,000th visitor clicked Trogward, and lo, it was eyeless fish for everybody!
And you thought those fireworks Saturday night were for Independence Day.
In celebration of this once-in-a-blogtime event, I hereby declare If You Send It, Trog Will Link It (IYSITWiLI) Week. From one minute past midnight Monday, to one minute before midnight Friday, any blogger can email the link to any post and, lo, it shall be linked!
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: post something on your own blog. Step 2: email me with a link to your post. Step 3: watch your hit counter spin like the altimeter on an out-of-gas cartoon airplane! Except…in reverse.
So easy even a surface-dweller can do it! Tell all your friends!
Note, for examples of Eyes It Willies and how they work, click here, then here, then here, then here. That oughta do it.
And thanks all. While I’ve about given up hope of ever reaching that million-hits-in-a-year milestone (The Trog is a third of a year old already!), my traffic continues to grow at a steady and quite gratifying pace. I’m very grateful to you all, whether you link, read, or find The Trog semi-randomly by googling for pictures of Yuri Fujikawa, Monica Bellucci, or, most recently, Will Smith.
UPDATE - Linked by Little Miss Attila.
UPDATE II - Linked by Dan Riehl, who “just forgot” to mention that he passed 13 million hits recently. Must be nice when the hits come so fast that a million can go by without noticing!

Congratulations on passing the 50,000 hits milestone, Lance!
I recently passed it as well, and think that we both started our sites around the same time.
Race you to 100,000…

You, sir, are on. And hey, my spam blocker didn’t eat your comment!

Yah, noticed that. Does that mean you’ve taken me off your block list?

On a trial basis, yes.

Lance, please forgive my ignorance here, but I can only assume you mean 50,000 visits in a day, eg: unique visits. Am I correct? If so, congrats! If you’re talking pageviews, that’s pretty great too. Let me know.
