Some of my best friends are black gay hunters!
One little tidbit from Kate Phillips’ live-blogging of the Sotomayor hearings today:
10:04 am: Prompted by Mr. Leahy, the judge contends that she has an open mind when it comes to cases involving the Second Amendment and gun rights. “I have friends who hunt,” she states, before moving on to say that she would not prejudge any case that came before her on the Supreme Court.
Feh. I haven’t been able to follow the hearings very closely, due to being at work all day. I’m glad Senator Hatch questioned her about the Second Amendment, Heller, and Ricci. But for crying out loud, couldn’t somebody ask the simple question: do American citizens have the individual right to own firearms?
