William Jacobson says “yes” on Sonia Sotomayor:
Yes, the Senate should vote Yes on the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to be the next Justice of the United States Supreme Court. The main reason I reach this conclusion is that there is no compelling reason to vote no.
I admit, I never thought there was any chance of defeating her confirmation. This was a done deal from Day 1. And that’s fine.
Tell you what, though: we lose one of the “conservative” justices while Obama is president, I’m sure going to miss the Second Amendment.
