Yesterday, I didn’t notice any moon landing anniversary news at all…
…and today I’m seeing it all over the place.

A 55-pound Moon Pie sits on a box to be shipped to the Kennedy Space Center at the Neil Armstrong Museum in Wapakoneta, Oh., in honor of the 40th anniversary of the first person to land on the moon.
Reminds me of one of my kids’ favorite books: Jimmy Zangwow’s Out of This World Moon Pie Adventure.
Kid’s mom won’t give him a moon pie before dinner, so he goes up in a homemade spaceship to get one. This book would, with the right writer, make a great feature film.

What’s a moon pie taste like?
Never had one and I’m 52, or I don’t remember. Old age will do that to a person.
They’re not bad. Marshmallowy, but not as sweet, thick, and the “cookie” parts are crumbly. You need milk.
