Metaphors are Good, part ii
July 22, 2009
by Lance Burri
Seen from the standpoint where the US is a tub, power is water, and Washington, DC is the drain, Ron Paul is quite valuable as a rubber ducky for tracking the drainage.
One might also suggest the US as a toilet, power still being water, and Ron Paul being that one floater that just. Will. Not. Go. Down.
Because of those damned government-regulated low-flow toilets, probably, which is a fine way of extending the metaphor.
Of course, we won’t take the metaphor in quite that direction because: it’s gross; and those Ronulans are some scary guys.

Funnniest thing I’ve read all day. You never disappoint.
Nah, not really. It wasn’t really very funny.
It was, too, funny. And there’s more where that came from!
