Republican re-branding with…Lady Gaga?
At Tuesday morning’s weekly GOP conference meeting, Republicans were shown a clip of a video parody of the Lady Gaga hit, “Just Dance” that replaces the popular song’s refrain with “Just Tax.”
Here’s the link. Here’s the video:
Asked about the video, House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence, R-Ind, laughed and said “it’s part of the Pence youth initiative.”
Maybe I’m just not hip enough, but: isn’t it kind of important that people understand what you’re saying, when you’re making a political point? I could barely understand any of this.
More: not only does Matthew Yglesias not understand trends, he doesn’t understand the concept of marketing as a trend-changing tool.
Note: I am not saying the above video is an example of good marketing. I’m only saying that Yglesias doesn’t understand. Via Memeorandum.
