The easiest prediction the world has ever seen.
“X” will be politicized. If I could get paid a dollar for every time I correctly predicted that, I’d be writing this from my private island off the coast of Richer than God.
Nevertheless, Steve Benen thinks he’s onto something big:
PREDICTING POLITICIZATION…. It looks like word went out yesterday about what leading conservative voices should say about Ted Kennedy’s death: complain about the memorial service that hasn’t happened yet.
He’s complaining about conservatives wondering whether Sen. Kennedy’s memorial service will be politicized the way Sen. Wellstone’s was.
Dan Riehl has the actual skinny:
It isn’t as if this was unexpected from Washington Monthly, I imagine soon the rest will be joining in. Then the Right will point their fingers back at them. It’s just politics as usual, folks. If nothing else, that may be at least one reason why Kennedy was such a drunk. ;)
Yeah, what he said. And anyway, you liberals and Democrats: you want us to stop complaining about you politicizing something that you haven’t politicized yet? Then prove us wrong. Don’t politicize Kennedy’s service.
