I wonder how that compares to the number of guys who asked her to prom?

She’s in demand:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said.

palin11That’s a two-syllable “damn” right there. Via Memeorandum.

Also:

HONG KONG – Former U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, once questioned about her lack of foreign policy experience, will make her first trip to Asia in September.

Thus bolstering her foreign policy experience! No, I still don’t think I’ll be wearing a Palin 2012 button anytime soon, but let’s see what some danged Lefty thinks about it:

Well, this is one for the books. Sarah Palin, in her first commercial speaking engagement after abdicating the governorship of Alaska, will visit Hong Kong to speak (for an undisclosed sum) to the CLSA Investors Forum at an annual conference of global investment managers.

Typical. The word “abdicate,” while nominally a synonym for “resign,” has a regal connotation. As in: His Majesty the King abdicated the throne.

Most of us would just use the word “resign.” As in: “…after resigning from the governorship.” But since this guy’s a Lefty, he sees high political office as more of an aristocratic, self-sovereign birthright. Machiavellian, as in: the Prince is the nation. That’s why he used that word.

That’s also via Memeorandum.
