Everybody loves a heavily-armed woman.

New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez had a …well, let’s just call it an inadvertent indiscretion with a female cop Thursday night:

In one of the season’s more humorous run-ins, Alex Rodriguez collided with a Toronto police woman during New York’s 10-5 win over the Blue Jays on Thursday night.

The Yankees third baseman had been trying to catch a pop foul from Lyle Overbay, but the momentum generated from the miss took him straight into the path of the fleeing officer and created jeeeeest a bit of an awkward Billy Madison moment — “Ya double dare me?” — when he tried to regain his balance.

Well. Now I wish I’d used a word other than “cop.”

Anyway. Everybody had a good laugh (or some boos – they were in Toronto), and everything’s fine.

But hey, does anybody else think the cop looks like Danica Patrick?

Sure, A-Rod. It was an “accident.”
