Prepare to repel!
Or be repelled, maybe.
Bengals’ Ochocinco plans ‘Lambeau Leap’ for Sunday
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP)—Attention, Green Bay Packers fans: Chad Ochocinco could be headed for a grandstand near you.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver says he’ll do a celebratory “Lambeau Leap” if he scores in Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field.
During a conference call Wednesday, Ochocinco said he’s looking forward to being embraced by cheeseheads. Packers fans might respond the way Browns fans did when the receiver jumped into the Dawg Pound a few years ago—with a shower of beer and derision.
It’s unfortunate that some few uncouth spectators might choose to retaliate in a situation like this by purposely spilling perfectly good beer. But that’s the world we live in, I guess.
Better to just not let him into the stands at all. He jumps, we push!
UPDATE - found this YouTube video from 2007 – Vikings defensive back Fred Smoot intercepted a Brett Favre pass and returned it for a touchdown. He tried a Lambeau Leap of his own. Fast forward to about the 1:27 mark and see how that went:
