Obama Scrapping Missile Shield For Czech, Poland

The story’s a little unclear on the whys and whens and whether everybody’s happy now or not.
Y’know, Poland is historically a loyal ally: they sent help during the American Revolution, for crying out loud. And they were rocks during the second Gulf War’s early years, at least.
So I’m inclined to think kindly of them. Still, I feel like I should be annoyed that he blew off the POTUS, even if the POTUS was only calling to blow them off.
And one more thing:

Don’t get me wrong here, but I’m sick of spending American taxpayer dollars on European welfare, which is truthfully what the missile defense shield is.
Hey, if they don’t have the money to build their own, then maybe they should give capitalism a try. And if they hate freedom, then let them lick the boots of their masters.
God bless ‘em, but if they aren’t responsible enough to protect themselves, why should I be forced to pay for them?
If they get into a defensive fight over their heads, then we help. Until then … it’s time they stand on their own 2 feet!
