In other animal news, 5500 pound Happy the hippo is moving from DC to a “swanky” new home in Milwaukee where he will room with prospective girlfriends Patty and Puddles, who have no idea how their lives are about to change.

Well, the Washington Post has an update:

Happy was tired when he arrived here at about 3 a.m. Sept. 29 after an 18-hour drive from Washington on the back of a flatbed. He went right to the pool and laid low. At one point, he wouldn’t come out of the pool. Keepers here asked keepers in Washington how to coax him out.

Answer: Drain the pool.

Then he met the girls.

Luckily, “the girls” are on birth control. No: really.
