Alabama hoping to become half as good as Wisconsin
R.S. McCain stumps for an Alabama Heisman:
Both Tim Tebow and Corey Colt lost their shot at the Heisman Trophy [Saturday] night. Alabama’s never had a Heisman. If Mark Ingram doesn’t get the Heisman now, I’d join any Heisman protest Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would care to lead.
Well how about that. I wonder who Ron Dayne and Alan Ameche are voting for? Or, um, would be voting for, in Ameche’s case, if he hadn’t passed away in 1988.
I’m pulling for that DT from Nebraska, myself.
Bonus Fact: the Heisman Trophy is named after John Heisman, who coached at Auburn University from 1895 to 1900.
Additional Bonus Fact: John Heisman is buried in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
In other news: GatorDoug tries to horn in on my Danica Patrick google-bomb. It won’t work, but it’ll be nice to look at until it fails.

And he was also the coach at Georgia Tech from 1904-1919.
