FavreWatch, Week…oh, who even cares anymore.

December 14, 2009

Yeah, Favre played, didn’t play that well, but the Viqueens still won, and he extended a bunch of records he already has. A little bit of progress toward that sack record, but no progress – again! – on the fumbles record.

Blah, blah, blah.

Let’s see: there’s three games left to play. The Saints have a two-game lead for home field advantage through the playoffs…plus the Viqueens’ magic number is now one – one win or one Packers loss equals a division championship – figure Favre will still see significant time for the next two weeks, and insignificant time after that.

Gotta keep that starts streak going, you know.

So that means he needs two fumbles in each of the next two games to break the record. Well, both games are in outdoor stadiums. And they play at Chicago in two weeks. Not that I expect much from the Bears’ defense, but it’ll be cold. Maybe nasty.

We can hope. Or else…

…well, maybe Brett will come back again next year. Has he started waffling about that yet?

UPDATE - If only Favre would learn from Aaron Rodgers!

While we’re at this, who’s got the all-time record for retirements? Reggie White? Michael Jordan?

He should have learned from Aaron Rodgers when he had the chance.
