Alternate title: I knew there was a catch!

John Hawkins has posted his top 40 conservative blogs for the 4th quarter of 2009. If you’re looking to update your rss reader, you can’t really go wrong with this.

As my devoted TrogloFans will notice, there’s one change in particular from John’s last version of the list: me! I’m no longer on there!

Oh bitter irony! Back in June, I wrote:

Bet all you contributors to Right Wing News thought that was going to be a pretty sweet gig.

You did. Admit it. You didn’t realize that being a contributor to Right Wing News (and/or Pajamas Media) would make you ineligible for John Hawkins’ Top 40 Conservative Blogs of (the second quarter of) 2009, did you?

If only you’d turned the offer down, or maybe never received it, you could be you sitting there at #28 instead of…

…come on, you know what’s coming…

And…partly because I made his list six months ago, I am one of those bloggers who…how did I put it? “Thought it was going to be a pretty sweet gig!”

Yeah, okay, it is a pretty sweet gig. Worth not making the list. No, really. Worth it. I am not grinding my teeth.
