Wisconsin-Stevens Point wins 3rd D-III title
SALEM, Va. (AP)—Down 10 minutes with 11 to play, Wisconsin-Stevens Point looked as if it was going to fall short of a third Division III title in seven years.
Then Jared Jenkins led the Pointers on a run that put them ahead comfortably ahead with five minutes to go.
Jenkins finished with 17 points and Matt Moses scored 22 for Stevens Point to help the Pointers (29-4) to a 78-73 win over Williams College on Saturday.
Three championships in 7 years. That’s pretty close to dynasty.
Yes, those are hockey cheerleaders. Gimme a break, even Google can’t find everything.
In other basketball news: the Big Ten went 4-1 in the NCAA Tournament’s first two days, which is a lot better than my own sets of brackets are doing right now.
Yeah, that last one’s a Minnesota cheerleader, and they’re the team that lost. But what the hell.
