MSNBC should make me the host of my own show, and any blogger who spreads that message gets invited on as a guest.
Alternate title: MSNBC sucks.
In prime time last week, MSNBC ranked #26 among cable channels. Worse than the Hallmark Channel; worse than Bravo; worse than the Food Network.
That was prime time. Whole-day ratings were even worse. MSNBC didn’t even make the top 30 on that list, unlike the three channels mentioned above and, obviously, others.
For comparison’s sake, Fox News was #2 and #4, respectively.
Being a conservative, I believe that competition is good. Therefore, MSNBC must – repeat, must - improve its standing among such cable powerhouses as Lifetime and Spike TV.
So here’s my idea: MSNBC should give me a show. Something in primetime would be best, probably, but I’m not above an early-afternoon slot, just to try it out. Go head-to-head with Oprah, The View, something like that.
Obviously, this isn’t the first time I’ve tried something like this. My campaign to become the New York Times’ token conservative columnist went noplace (despite the Facebook group). Therefore, incentives: each and every blogger who links this post will be a guest on my show. One appearance per link, minimum. And I’m not talking about being part of some panel where you get maybe ten seconds to talk amid ten minutes of sitting there staring stupidly into the camera. I mean you are the guest, and I interview you about some aspect of the events of the day.
Keith Olbermann isn’t making this offer, people. I am.
Hat tip Insty, who could really help his career by linking this.
UPDATE - Okay, Doug. You’ll have to appear weekly, I think.

Trog, you would lose your good looks having to wear all of that makeup!!! What about your honor and your mind?
