Well, if it ever was it was short lived. It was invented after the Second World War by Churchill to cover up the disaster that the war had been to a British public who had never really liked Americans anyway. If it did existed its been limping along since the events of Suez in 1956 finished it off. Its trotted out on occassion by the jingoist end of the British press every so often. Check my blog at:
