They are, in a literal sense, right.
Gateway Pundit posts this picture from Saturday’s Tea Party in Nevada:
And he reports this quote from CNN’s coverage of the tea party:
“Hundreds of people, at least dozens of people – we haven’t gotten a count of how many people turned out there.”
Hoft responds:
Just in case you still trusted the state-run media…CNN on size of Saturday’s rally: “At least dozens of people.”
This is dozens?
I remember an old Tic-Tac commercial (or was it Life Savers?). It was set in a game show, and the little nerdy guy had to answer one last question to win. The question: how many calories in a Tic-Tac?
His answer: “Less than…ten?”
Ding ding ding ding ding! He won!
But, y’know, if “less than ten” was an acceptable answer, then “less than one billion” would also have been an acceptable answer.
In that sense, CNN is right. There are “dozens” of people at the rally. A couple hundred dozen, sure, but still “dozens.”
