How long until the Truthers latch on to this?

Obama last month lifted a longtime ban on offshore drilling and oil and gas exploration, saying it was crucial to U.S. energy security.

But now, in the wake of the oil rig explosion off the Gulf Coast:

…the White House today said that there will be no new domestic offshore drilling until the investigation into the Gulf of Mexico oil spill is complete.

Obama lifted the offshore drilling ban to the complete dismay of his natural enviro-socialist allies. Whether he did so because he believed in the policy – or because he couldn’t risk another uber-liberal position in the face of overwhelming public opinion – isn’t clear.

This oil rig explosion and subsequent oil spill is going to drive public opinion away from drilling, whereas previously public opinion was in favor of drilling. Coincidence?

I’m not…not starting to think like him, am I?

Of course, he’s being sarcastic, as was I, as was Rush Limbaugh, who said something along the exact same lines. Krugman doesn’t recognize Limbaugh’s sarcasm, though, linking a clip over at Media Matters as if Limbaugh was being serious.
