And did they get a good look at that “power?”
Phil Jackson coached the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan championships-are-so-easy-to-win era. Thus, I’m all for loud, raucous, anti-Jackson protests wherever he goes.
Los Angeles police say several dozen people waving signs and American flags gathered outside Staples Center before the Lakers-Phoenix Suns game in a protest over Lakers coach Phil Jackson’s refusal to criticize Arizona’s new anti-immigration law.
You can get your own protest just by refusing to criticize something now?
But that’s not the funny part. This is:
Among those who came were 15 Los Angeles High School students brought by their teacher, Rodney Lusain. Lusain told the Los Angeles Times he wanted his students “to see the power of protest.”
Uh-huh. And did they get a real good look at “the power of protest” as it drove by in it’s gold-plated Bentley chauffeured by the half-naked supermodel?
UPDATE - you can read Jackson’s original comments here.
