Megan’s out; Hayden’s in?

TrogloBabe Megan Fox, known throughout Trogland for her inability to keep her mouth shut even when opening it means calling the guy who made her famous “like Hitler,” has received her comeuppance:

MEGAN FOX has been axed from Transformers 3, it was revealed tonight.

The decision is said to relate to her controversial comments, in particular a remark in September where she compared director Michael Bay to Hitler. It was an insult he played down at the time.

With the absence of Fox’s character Mikaela Banes, a new love interest will now be found for Shia LaBeouf’s character Sam Witwicky.

And who, pray tell, might that “new love interest” be? Why, another TrogloBabe, of course!

In this case, a newly-brunette Hayden Panettiere:

HEROES lovely Hayden Panettiere and Gemma Arterton have emerged as the early front-runners to replace Megan Fox in the Transformers film series.

Thoughts:

• Fox leaving will have zero impact on the next movie’s success, or lack thereof.

• If star power is an issue, Hayden will get the job.

• Hayden won’t get the job if Michael Bay gets all full of himself for “discovering” and “creating” Megan Fox and decides he can do it again.

• Which, of course, he can. There are plenty of beautiful women out there who can act.

• That said, a series in its third installment could really use a name-recognition boost.

• Unfortunately, Hayden is already popular among the Transformer series’ main demographic, so a demographic-stretching choice might be more in order from the producers’ point of view.

• But that would be stupid. Hayden is by far the best choice.

• The TrogloPundit may be biased in this regard, but we doubt it.
