Wow, Pundette actually read Obama’s speech (a.k.a. “The Speech Everyone Hated”) closely enough to pick out the worst part. She writes:

Fixing the gusher is like mobilizing for WWII, or putting a man on the moon? That’s just absurd, trivializes those events, and shows he doesn’t get basic American history.

Yeah. Didn’t he just say the spill was like “an assault on our shores?” Yes, yes he did.

“This is an assault on our shores, and we’re going to fight it with everything we’ve got. That includes mobilizing the resources of the greatest military in the world.”

Sounds like he’s pretending he’s Dubya, right after 911. Quick: somebody ask him to say “nuclear.”
