Ed Morrissey claims that people are dissatisfied with a government program.
Sounds crazy to me, but…well, Ed links to this:
The number of doctors refusing new Medicare patients because of low government payment rates is setting a new high, just six months before millions of Baby Boomers begin enrolling in the government health care program.
Recent surveys by national and state medical societies have found more doctors limiting Medicare patients, partly because Congress has failed to stop an automatic 21% cut in payments that doctors already regard as too low.
Ed writes: shortages! And he also mentions:
…the electoral impact that 11 million angry seniors will have when they realize that their MA plans will get slashed.
I still don’t get that. It’s a government program. Hellooooo. Government programs fix everything! Why should anyone be angry?
Ah, but: Time now for…The Conspiracy Theory Of The Week!
As seniors begin to receive worse service…as their doctors begin to peel away from Medicare…as their MA plans “get slashed…”
Will senior citizens respond: “government doesn’t work all that well, does it?” Or will they see it as “government has to do more!” There’s plenty of reason to believe the latter.
Or, at least, there’s plenty of reason to believe that, as more and more seniors vent their anger, more and more politicians will tell them (with arms raised over faces in fear): “I’ll help you! I’ll help you!”
And you know what that means. More government programs!
The more people dissatisfied with their health care, see, the more likely for greater pushing toward greater socialism.
Laugh all you want, but I think the Lefties are cutting Medicare rates on purpose, to create a new crisis, which they then won’t want to waste.
