The other 38% thought government already had it all

June 22, 2010

Rasmussen:

62% Say Politicians Want Government to Have More Power and Money

More:

At the same time, 58% believe that most voters want the government to have less power and money. Only 22% believe most voters hold the opposite view and want a bigger role for government.

That’s the same 22% that still believes in Manifest Destiny, because absorbing parts of other nations is really the only way for the U.S. government to acquire any more power and money.

One more, a little more seriously:

Just 21% of voters nationwide believe the government today has the consent of the governed.

Is that the same 21% that votes regularly?
