General McChrystal Just Said What Americans Think.
Runner up, Insty:
Under a Republican President, it’s listen to the generals. Under a Democratic President, it’s all about civilian control of the military.
On the other hand, Stacy McCain poops on the party:
If you’re a senior commander and you feel the civilian leadership is screwed up, the thing to do is to announce your retirement, and then write a book about how screwed up the civilian leadership is.
He’s right, of course. Still. With so many serious electrons dying over this story, I see no reason not to have a little fun.

I can’t tell you how bad most of the military loathes Obama. Of course, there’s always a few kool-aid guzzling Obama supporters in uniform, but they’re the minority.
