Okay, that’s not exactly what Vice President Biden said. The actual phrase was “smart ass:”

There’s been a lot of sturm and drang around the blogosphere about that, but it looks like a whole lotta nuthin’, really.

I do wonder, though: was the businessman trying to be a just-joshin’ smartass? Or was he trying to give the Veep his real live two cents?

Or…was he trying to become Joe the Plumber, except with custard?
