I propose a wager.

Pelosi vs. Gibbs:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi bashed White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs Tuesday night, even as the president’s top spokesman continued to backpedal from his assertion that Democrats could lose control of the House in the November election.

She’s mad because Gibbs had said on a Sunday talk show:

“I think there’s no doubt there are enough seats in play that could cause Republicans to gain control. There’s no doubt about that.”

I think we’ve got us a friendly wager in the making. So let’s see: Pelosi grew up in Maryland, but she’s lived in San Francisco since 1969. Gibbs grew up in Alabama, which figures.

So here’s the bet:

If Republicans win the House back, Pelosi has to give Gibbs…oh, I don’t know. What do they eat in San Francisco? Rice a Roni? And if Democrats keep the House, Gibbs has to give Pelosi…um…some moon pies. Crawdads, maybe. Something like that.

Come to think of it, don’t they have crawdads in SF, too? Ah, but that would be a stupid bet.
