Fumble!

September 19, 2010

Alternate title: FavreWatch, v.2010 (part iii).

Holy tractors, did Brett Favre have a bad game today. Three interceptions and…

…fumble! In the end zone, no less, which Miami fell on for a score, which was the difference in the game!

Just hang onto that ball, Brett, and the Viqueens would have won! But let’s not blame Brett. That would be way too easy. Me, I blame Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson, and Ryan Longwell.

If you’re keeping score at home, the fumble puts Favre only one shy of tying the all-time NFL career fumbles record. One to tie, two to break, and I continue to hope that this blessed event will take place on October 24.

Also: the Miami defense sacked Favre three times, leaving him ten short of breaking that all-time NFL career record. Again: October 24, and I’ll never ask for anything else as long as I live, I swear.

But: no touchdown passes. Somewhere, Peyton Manning is grinning his evil, evil grin.

I think I followed Favre’s fumble count closer than the Packers yesterday.

I want Clay Matthews to “help” Favre set those two records, and esure his uncle’s record won’t be broken. Am I a baaaaaaad man for wishing that?

What’s the over/under on number of games he plays this year before flying back to Mississippi? 5 or 8?

I wonder how Capper took it?
