I’ve got two words for this: “ug,” and “lee.”

There is, I learned today, a contest to design “the dollar bill of the future.” Some of the entries:

Ugly. Uglier. Ugliest. Pink? Powder blue? We start making our money look like that, and the fat lady’ll be singing faster than France can point and laugh.

This isn’t so bad:
