No, it’s not a hippie standing behind a tree. It’s a woman wearing a dress. Here’s the story:
Robin Barcus Slonina is an installation and performance artist working on an ongoing project called “States of Dress.” She has been touring the country constructing and modeling her unique dress sculpture in hopes to do one for all 50 states.
She’s done 8 so far, including Wisconsin’s white pine, corn in Minnesota, and field grass in Iowa. It’s not all natural, though. She’s from Vegas, and for Nevada she chose casino chips. And she didn’t just make a dress out of them:
