Mother is not, and never will be, cool.
And she should know. She’s got something like twelve kids herself. It’s really brave of her to display her lack of cool out there like that for everybody to see. I really admire that.
She goes on:
But nothing is more shallow than devaluing Mother, and what Mother does, merely because she’s not fashionable.
Plus, most mothers have a wicked jab. My kids’ mother does, anyway.

And I agree — Father is da bomb.
Left out of the article, and my comments on it, was anything about the man’s role in determining how much a mother’s job is valued. I fear the modern approach is for a guy to place a higher value on his wife’s income than on her role as a mother to his kids.
