Football is Life, and Christmas cookies have no calories.
Packers 45, Giants 17.
If I understand correctly, the Packers must win next week to make the playoffs, and it’s the Bears coming to town. The Bears, whom we should have beaten the first time but didn’t, because we committed 18 penalties.
Had the number of penalties settled at 15, we’d have won. But it was 18. So we lost.
The Bears, on the other hand, may need a win to protect a first-round bye. Bear Week is usually more intense than the average week as it is. Under the circumstances, Wisconsin’s southern border may begin to resemble a demilitarized zone soon.
Go Badgers!

18 penalties? That was this year?
They’ve really improved to the point that I’ve forgotten how much they have improved.
It’s not quite that dire – if the Giants and Buccaneers lose, the Packers can choke next week and still make the playoffs.
I’ve got the claymores ready for the border.
You can’t think that way, Steve. About the Giants and Buccaneers, I mean. About the claymores, I like where your head is at.
