Will there be a Best-Looking Congressional Race…ever… part ii?

January 31, 2011

Depends on the Democrat candidate, I suppose:

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has pegged its first GOP targets of the 2012 cycle, launching radio and Web ads in the districts of 19 House Republicans this week.

Democrats need to pick up 25 House seats to win back the majority in 2012.

It’s the first media salvo of the cycle for the DCCC, predominantly targeting GOP freshmen in Democratic-leaning districts.

The ads hit the new Republican majority in the House for having tunnel vision on spending cuts and backing “a partisan plan that costs jobs.”

Well, maybe those Democrats should stop being so damned partisan, then.

Note the verbiage: “targets,” “salvo,” “targeting,” “hit.” The story also uses the word “blitz” later on. I’m sure that one refers to all the drinking Democrats will do in 2012 when their nefarious plans fail.

I note with interest that Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wisconsin) is on the list of “targeted” seats. The axe-throwing Duffy will have to keep those skills sharp, then, for his next slate of campaign commercials. *

Any inference of violence, either real or potential, taken from said metaphor was completely unintentional, and is entirely the fault of the reader for inferring it.
