“We promised mediocrity, and we delivered! Sort of.”
That, my friends, was my campaign slogan years ago when I ran for a second term as President of my local Brotherhood of St. Andrew chapter. I won handily (yes, I was unopposed – what’s your point?) and have happily lived up to my campaign promises ever since.
One tends to wonder, given the way I’ve so masterfully lived up to expectations, whether I might be in line for something more. Something greater. Something not just requiring, but almost demanding mediocrity.
UPDATE – Vote for Paco: He’ll never bow to foreign potentates, although he may occasionally lower his eyes when meeting with, say, the presidents of Argentina or Costa Rica.
UPDATE II - Grandpa Steve has the inside track for Secretary of Political Correctness.

Mediocrity would be an improvement over the administration we now have.
Michael, you put words to my thoughts once again, thank you!
