Seems like this should be ironic, but I’m not sure exactly how.

On the one hand:

Shh! Obama gets anti-secrecy award

President Obama finally and quietly accepted his “transparency” award from the open government community this week — in a closed, undisclosed meeting at the White House on Monday.

The secret presentation happened almost two weeks after the White House inexplicably postponed the ceremony, which was expected to be open to the press pool.

That’s via Memeorandum and Malkin.

But on the other hand:

Several weeks ago, President Obama signed a secret finding authorizing the C.I.A. to provide arms and other support to Libyan rebels, American officials said Wednesday. But weapons have not yet been shipped into Libya…

…unless, apparently against all odds, they’ve managed to keep that secret…

…as Obama administration officials debate the effects of giving them to the rebel groups.

So what’s the funny part, here? That they held a secret meeting to receive a “transparency” award? Or that their “secret” plan to provide military support has become more transparent than whatever happened at the “transparency” award ceremony?

Also via Memeorandum.
