Seen at my local firing range…

Kid #3 finished his hunter’s safety class today (he passed, thanks for asking) at the Circus City Sportsmen’s Club, just a few miles from my house. It’s really convenient, having them so close. People come from all over the state for the hunter safety classes they put on four times a year.

Anyway, this was flying from the flagpole:

They had the red and white “Don’t Tread On Me” flag inside, too. Pretty sweet.

UPDATE – Note to any histrionically-inclined types who don’t understand the historical nature of that flag: the caption “Join or Die” is not – repeat not – evidence of the Tea Parties’ violent and intolerant nature. That flag was originally an editorial cartoon by Benjamin Franklin. The snake is broken into segments, meant to represent disunity among the 13 colonies. Franklin was telling them that if they didn’t get together – “join” – then their enemies were going to enjoy them with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
