Marathon Pundit emails: “Hey Lance….Maybe we can trade Pfleger for your Dem senators?”

That’s the Rev. Michael Pfleger, whose 15 minutes of fame you may remember from 2008:

He’s being kicked out of the priesthood:

Citing what he called threats from the Rev. Michael Pfleger to leave the church, Cardinal Francis George has removed the outspoken priest from St. Sabina parish and has suspended his “sacramental faculties as a priest.”

The Church wanted him to take over a boy’s school, and he refused and threatened to leave the church if they didn’t let him stay. So they took him up on that.

As for Marathon Pundit’s offer…hmmm…I might make that trade. But only if the Bears keep starting Jay Cutler.

UPDATE – as Dad29 points out in the comments, Pfleger wasn’t “removed,” he was suspended. We at The Trog shrug lackadaisically and don’t really regret the error at all.
