Let’s play “make up a news story about Brett Favre”

May 13, 2011

Even when they headline a story that Favre “won’t play,” they cast doubt on whether he’ll play!

The headline:

Brett Favre not sure if there will be a season, but sure he won’t play

The story:

In case you were wondering, Brett Favre still says he’s retired.

In an appearance at a Wrangler Jeans plant in Alabama that was destroyed by tornadoes, Favre was asked whether he might play in the NFL this season. Favre answered that he’s “done with football.”

With the lockout still going on, Favre added that he doesn’t know if there “would be any football” this year. He just knows that if there is, he won’t be a part of it.

So what does that mean? He “won’t be a part” of football this year, when he “doesn’t know” if there will be football?

Is that a denial about playing again? Or a hint that he knows something about the lockout that we don’t? Is he saying he’s done forever, or only this year, because the lockout won’t be resolved?

And how could he possibly know that in the first place?

But if he does know that, why doesn’t he do something about it?

Why does Brett Favre hate me?

He has not ruled out pitching in the major leagues. Think about it.
