That was the obvious reaction to:
Unless the United States has the most spectacular cognitive awakening since Brunhilda, if not Lazarus, the laws of arithmetic are going to assert themselves in Zeus-like terms.
Meanwhile, the European Union is a water-logged vessel in a tempest, frantically bailing.
That’s Conrad Black, a.k.a. My New Hero. Does he always write like that? Because, y’know, dang.
And let’s be clear: I don’t mean that as a bad thing. As regular Trog readers know, I’m partial to the overwrought, multi-faceted (or, as you might say: mixed) metaphor, myself. They’re the chocolate-covered Oreo cookies of the linguistic world, if you ask me.
