Insane? That’s insane? Well break out the straitjackets then, because I feel a serious bout of insanity coming on!
Well call me crazy, then: NFL Lockout edition. A brief summation: ongoing talks between owners and players “almost blew up” yesterday, but didn’t, which is good, but:
Multiple sources familiar with the talks said progress is being made, but they cautioned there’s “a lot of drama and a lot of room for mistakes left.”
To say this is going to be done in two weeks, one source said, “is borderline insane.”
Insane, is it?
You want insane? The Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins have all won championships since the last time the Patriots did.
You want insane? A congressman named Weiner (whose name isn’t pronounced whine-er) is in trouble for taking pictures of his weiner in the same month in which two middle-aged married men got caught flirting with each other while pretending to be lesbian women.
You want insane? Unionista protesters in Wisconsin continue to act as though they’re winning.
You want insane? I’ll give you insane.
Okay, so maybe two weeks is asking a little much. But expecting to see training camps in full swing in August? That better not be insane.
