*UPDATED* As if having Wisconsin right across the border isn’t enough pressure already…
Marathon Pundit says:
…it’s time to put some pressure on Illinois’ hapless governor, Pat Quinn.
What’s he talking about? Governor Pat Quinn hasn’t paid off his NFC Championship game bet yet. Can you believe that crap? He and Governor Walker wagered on the game; the Packers won (natch); and Quinn was supposed to come volunteer at a Green Bay food pantry while wearing a Packers jersey.
And he hasn’t done it. Six months later.
Oh, sure, he’s got his excuses. Governor Walker is a monstrous fascist who clubs baby seals in his spare time, when he can’t find old ladies to kick. Something like that.
Governor Pat Quinn, you’re a pathetic little man. State of Illinois, you should be embarrassed. Y’know, I mean more embarrassed than usual. I understand your threshold for embarrassment must be pretty high already, being from Illinois and all.
Also: that bet between the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh? That bet hadn’t been paid off as of April, but who knows? It’s not like you throw a Renoir in the back of your Prius with the poodle and just drive it over here. I’ve got an email in to the Milwaukee Art Museum, to ask when it might be here.
I’m thinking maybe a picture with it would be nice.

UPDATE - I got this email back from the Milwaukee Museum of Art’s public relations department:
Lance –
Thank you for your email. The Museum is currently working with the Carnegie Museum of Art to finalize the details of the Renoir’s arrival and we expect it will be on display in the fall during our feature exhibition on French Impressionism.
Kristin
Excellent.
